Prof. Doris Schroeder is Director of the Centre for Professional Ethics, Uclan UK and Professor of Moral Philosophy in the School of Law at Uclan Cyprus. Her academic background is in philosophy, politics and management/economics. She has co‐ordinated four EU projects to date (two FP6, one FP7, one ongoing Horizon 2020). In addition to her academic position, she is regularly involved as a consultant for the European Commission. For instance, in 2016 she was part of a group of two who assessed the research ethics procedures of Horizon 2020. Her main areas of research interest are human rights in health, responsible innovation, global research ethics and conceptual work, for instance, on dignity and vulnerability.
